Character Background and Description Chester is that stereotypical, ignorant, American teenager. He was raised by loving parents who will bow to him for his every command. He is a lonely child and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Chester lives in a nice house with nice parents and has a great luxury compared to others.
Chester’s parents owe a great deal to various church organizations and charities to enable them to live such an easy life. As a result, Chester’s parents force him to attend church every Sunday and practice prayer and worship while at home. However, this causes a great deal of distress for poor Chester, as he only recently discovered that he is gay.
After recently finding a partner -- which his parents would strongly disapprove of -- Chester has found it increasingly more difficult to confront his parents and attend church. Due to being homeschooled, he also has to find excuses to leave the house to see friends and meet up with his partner and this is becoming more and more difficult for him.
